Frequently asked questions

Is TrustFlow itself a trustee or financial adviser?

No. TrustFlow is software for licensed professionals. We do not act as trustee, give financial product advice, or hold client assets. Your firm remains responsible for all duties under the Trustee Act 1958 (Vic) and Corporations Act 2001.

Where is our data stored?

All data is stored in Australian data centres (Sydney/Melbourne region). We do not process or store client data outside Australia.

What is the "per-matter" fee?

Each active estate or trust file counts as one matter. When a matter is closed or archived, it no longer counts toward your bill. We use per-matter pricing to align our costs with the revenue your firm generates per file.

Can I import our existing estate files?

Yes. We support CSV/Excel import for asset registers and beneficiary lists. For full historical matter migration, our implementation team will assist on Firm and Enterprise plans.

Do you integrate with LEAP or Smokeball?

Firm and Enterprise plans include practice management integrations. We currently support LEAP and Smokeball for contact and matter sync, with Actionstep on the roadmap.

What happens to our data if we cancel?

You can export all matter data, documents, and audit logs in standard formats (PDF, CSV, JSON) at any time. Data is retained for 12 months post-cancellation and then deleted on request.
